I was contracted to shoot images of the Million Man March on the Capitol, Washington DC. I was awestruck at the sight of the man that had climbed all the way to the top of this monument, holding on for dear life to one of the horse's hindlegs in order to get a good view of the events taking place on the balcony of the Capitol. At this moment I believe Maya Angelou, the nation's poet, was speaking at the time.
